설정 탐색기

맥북을 오래 써오면서 내게 익숙한 설정이 정해져버렸다.
몇가지는 특이하다고 생각할 수 있지만 그래도 나름의 이유가 있는 설정들

1. General

  • (Option) Appearance : Dark

  • Click in the scroll bar to : Jump to the spot that’s clicked
    일상적인 상황에서는 Jump to the next page가 편하지만,
    긴 코드나 페이지를 다룰 때는 원클릭으로 스크롤 홀드와 점프가 훨씬 편하다.

  • Default web browser : Safari
    개인적으로 맥북과 크롬은 맞지 않는다고 생각한다.
    최적화가 잘 되어있지 않아 배터리도 빨리 닳고 M1 초기 SSD 이슈도 크롬에서 나타났다.
    정 사파리가 쓰기 싫다면 Firefox도 괜찮다고 생각한다.

2. Desktop & Screen saver

  • (Option) Screen Saver : Disable

  • Hot Corners…
    집에서는 키마를 써서 마우스로 컨트롤 하기 위해 아래처럼 설정했다.

3. Dock & Menu Bar

  1. Dock
    • (Option) Marnification : Enable
    • (Option) Position on screen : Left
    • Minimize windows using : Scale effect
    • Automatically hide and show the Dock : Enable
  2. Other Modules
    • Battery
      • Show Percentage : Enable
  3. Menu Bar Only
    • Clock : 취향껏
    • Spotlight : Disable
      원래도 잘 안 쓰는 기능이지만 단축키가 더 편하다고 생각된다.

4. Missing Control

  • Automatically rearrange Spaces based on most recent use : Disable
    최근에 사용한 스페이스로 정렬이 변경되는 귀찮은 기능이다.

  • Group windows by application : Enable
    Application Windows에서 같은 프로그램은 겹쳐놓는다. 보기 편하고 깔끔해진다.

  • (For Citrix VDI) Displays have separate Spaces
    Citrix VDI를 사용한다면 이 옵션을 비활성화 해야 다중 모니터가 가능해진다.

5. Accessibility

  1. Vision
    • Zoom
      • Use scroll gesture with modifier keys to zoom : Enable
        자주 사용하지는 않지만 잘 거슬리지도 않고, 있으면 가끔 편하다.
    • Display - Pointer
      • Shake mouse pointer to locate : Disable
        진짜 거슬린다.
  2. Hearing
    • Audio
      • (Option) Flash the screen when an alert sound occurs : Enable
        소리를 자주 꺼놓는 사람이 쓰면 편하다
  3. Motor
    • Voice Control
      • Show hints : Disable
    • Pointer Control
      • Trackpad Options - without inertia
      • Trackpad Options - Enable dragging : Enable & three finger drag
        있으면 트랙패드 클릭을 할 일이 하나도 없어지는 옵션이다. 강추

6. Security & Privacy

  1. General
    • Require password time 5 seconds after sleep or screen saver begins
    • (Option) Show a message when the screen is locked : Enable

  2. FireVault : Enable

  3. (Option) Firewall : Enable
    카페 와이파이나 핫스팟 많이 쓰면 켜놓는게 낫다

7. Sound

  • Select an alert Sound : 취향대로
  • (Option) Play sound on startup : Disable

8. Keyboard

  1. Keyboard
    • Press @ to Do Nothing
      나는 한영키 전환이 Command + Space인 이유로 사용한다
    • (Option) Use F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys: Enable
      Modifier Keys… (윈도우용 키보드 설정)
    • Option Key : Command
    • Command Key : Option
      내 키보드 상황에 맞게 변경했다
  2. Text
    • Correct spelling automatically : Disable
    • Capitalize words automatically : Disable
    • Add period with double-space : Disable
    • Use Smart quotes and dashes : Disable
  3. Shotcuts
    • Input Sources
      • Select the previous input source : Disable.
        영어와 한글만 사용하기 때문에 Disable
      • (Option) Select next source in Input menu : Command + Space.
        예전부터 한영키 전환을 이렇게 사용해왔다.
    • Spotlight
      • (Option) Show Spotlight search : Option + Space ← 한영키에 따른 단축키 변경
      • 나머지는 직접 보면서 안 쓰는 단축키 비활성화를 추천한다
    • Input Sources
      • Use the Caps Lock key to switch to and form ABC : Disable
        편하긴 하지만 Capslock을 쓸 때가 헷갈려서 비활성화한다.

9. Trackpad

  • (Option) Scroll direction: Netural : Disable
    참고로 마우스에도 적용된다

  • 세 손가락은 제스쳐는 Accessibility 옵션과 충돌이 나기 때문에 모두 네 손가락으로 되어 있어야 한다
